Looking for a conspiracy theory

The Governor was a Republican and his replacement is a Democrat. I can only wonder if it had been the other way around how many lunatic conspiracy theories we would have had blaming it on the CIA. If you think I am joking just recall the death of Democratic Senator Paul Wellstone in 2002 and the theories about his plane crash.
